It's Official: Fleet Foxes Sign with Sub Pop

As of this morning at 11 a.m., Fleet Foxes (proud disclosure: the band fronted my brother, Robin Pecknold) are now signed to Seattle's Sub Pop Records.
Says A & R lady Sue Busch, "I feel very proud to welcome Fleet Foxes to the Sub Pop family. It¹s been so amazing watching them grow as a band and I know they have a lot of exciting times ahead of them. I¹m so glad we get to be a part of it."
It's been an exciting and busy week for the band, who wrapped up the recording of their EP Sun Giant yesterday, (which will be available on their upcoming 43 date (yikes) tour with Blitzen Trapper) and saw There Will Be Blood three times.
Congratulations to both.

Seeing them live in Madison, Wisconsin and I must say I cannot wait. Since hearing their two EPs the past couple days they are all I can listen to. Best \"new\" band I\'ve heard in quite some time, can\'t wait for the show and the upcoming long-player.

Beautiful! Robin is such a wonderful songwriter. Although it's some time ago, and I've bought and listened endlessly to the LP, the Sun Giant EP and their 06 EP, it feels kinda good to read this and feel that you've been there and seen all this since the start . It's Great!
