Vedder Snubbed by Oscar

• Steve\'s comment is stupid. Vedder\'s soundtrack to \"Into the Wild\" was quite good, and \"Guaranteed\" would\'ve been a deserving nominee. Of course, arguing over Oscar nominations is about the dumbest thing people can do -- which is why I\'m stopping, now.

• Guaranteed is a heartbreaking song that captures the film like no songs since Springsteen and Young in Philadelphia. He was truely robbed and the audience, if there is a show, was robbed too.

• On the other hand, Marco Beltrami\'s score for 3:10 to Yuma kicks ass. Except that is sounds like a Hans Zimmer rip-off.

• I loved the Into the Wild Soundtrack and thought Vedder\'s work was incredible. It\'s a absolute travesty that three songs from a teeny-bop movie can get nods and great works from Kimya Dawson and Eddie Vedder are left out. How about some variety if nothing else.

• Im more disappointed that Kimya Dawson was snubbed for all of her amazing songs on the Juno soundtrack...yeah, 3 songs from Enchanted? huh?

• Seely, A Golden Globe is nothing to write home about--Pia Zadora, Sharon Stone, and Madonna all have one (for ACTING). And Vedder\'s score was a huge disappointment. You\'re the first person I\'ve heard who actually liked it. It was the worst part of an otherwise moving film. If he\'d managed one heartbreaking song for it that you could sing right now--and, face it, you can\'t--he would\'ve gotten a nomination.
