The Sound of Color

Thanks to countless marketing campaigns, colors now serve a far deeper purpose than just being eye-catching. Slap a pink label on a can of Campbell's Soup and all of a sudden it's not just chicken noodle, it's a "breast cancer research benefitting" chicken noodle. Slap a red t-shirt on Bono and somehow help to save Darfur.

But, as Billboard announced earlier this month, the Gap's taken it one step further with their new Sound of Color viral online marketing campaign, asking five bands/musicians the deeply philosophical question: What Does Color Sound Like??

Seattle's own the Blakes were selected, along with the Raveonettes, Dntel, Swizz Beatz, and Marié Digby, who were all assigned different colors of the rainbow. The artists were then paired up with directors to make videos for their aural interpretations.
