Matt Keating at the Comet Tonight

Regrets, I've had a few. One of them is neglecting to include Matt Keating's Seattle appearance in this week's Shortlist. Keating, a veteran, under-the-radar troubadour in the James McMurtry/Bob Schneider mold, will play a solo acoustic set tonight at the Comet, sandwiched in between Andrew Vait and Michael Clarke & the Alley Walkers. For those of you who can't get into the Tractor once the Moondoggies gig sells out, hotfoot it to the Hill for Keating, who'll take the stage around 11. His new double disc, Quixotic, is gorgeous. And besides, who puts out a 23-song double-disc these days anyway? Keating, that's who. (I'll post a review of Keating's set sometime tomorrow morning, hopefully with photos).
