Benefit for Jaime of Husbands, Love Your Wives Tomorrow Night

This is Jaime.

As some of you may know, Jaime, Husbands, Love Your Wives songstress, pastry maven and an incredibly sweet person, just endured a 16-day hospital stay for major depression that will require continued outpatient treatment. This is all very, very expensive, obviously, even with insurance.
As a result, Jaime's been forced to drop out of pastry school; she is also currently jobless, and may have to remain that way for a little while longer. So, Greg over at the Tractor Tavern, who is not only a booker of shows but a kind human being, put together a benefit show at the Sunset. The line-up is stellar:

The Final Spins (Joe Syversons new band)
Andy Fitts (Banyan)

It all goes down at the Sunset Tavern tomorrow, the 18th. It kicks off at 8 p.m. and they're asking for a minimum $8 donation. Plus, you get a free HLYW demo with nice paper as a thank-you.

On a personal note...I just want to say this:

Since the first time I met her, I knew that Jaime was an incredibly special person, not just because she writes heartfelt, beautiful songs that are free of artifice, but because she is one of the warmest, most genuinely kind people I've ever encountered. It is a privilege to know her and to be able to call her a friend. But even if you've never met Jaime or heard of Husbands, Love Your Wives before, there are a lot of awesome bands playing tonight, and you can take comfort in knowing that your $8 will go to someone who can really use it. I'll be there. Hopefully you will be, too.
