Someone just commented and asked me about a post I wrote earlier about free studio time at Jack Straw (the deadline for that, sadly, has passed.) But if you're in hip hop, there IS this at Columbia City Theater tonight:
The SHOWDOWN - Hip-Hop/R&B open mic night
Free Recording Time AND $$$$ to the overall winner
7pm - 10 pm: Open MIC
10pm - 2AM - Live DJ spinning Old School Hip Hop
Not sure how MUCH recording time, or where, but hey, there's also cash. Everyone can use some more of that these days, am I right?
