Mitch Mitchell Found Dead in Portland

Jimi Hendrix's drummer, who played the Paramount last Thursday as part of the Experience Hendrix Tour, was found dead today in his Portland, Ore. hotel room.

Mitch Mitchell was one of a kind. He was an abstract drummer for rock. It's amazing how his playing could get out there while at the same time the lead guitar - JIMI - is tearing up the stratosphere! But it all came together - pure magic! Thank you Mitch Mitchell for the great music.
