Free PPP Mixtape by Seattle's DJ Topspin -- Come and Get it

If you're not already familiar with the Detroit via Brooklyn soul-hop group of PPP, then here's a solid new mixtape from Seattle's DJ Topspin that will get you caught up quickly. PPP (formerly Platinum Pied Pipers) just released their second album, Abundance, yesterday on Ubiquity Records.

If you haven't picked that album up yet, I highly recommend it. Lead producers Waajeed and Saadiq are both hip-hop savants with a J Dilla-meets-Curtis Mayfield production style. Interestingly enough, 'Jeed brought DJ Topspin AKA Blendiana Jones on board to do the official mixtape, and you can be the judge on if he does a good job or not. To download the mixtape, go here and enjoy. Considering the respect PPP has within certain music circles, this is a good look for Seattle hip-hop no matter what.
