Ten Albums I Fully Expect to Kick Ass in 2009

Neko Case - Middle Cyclone

The Thermals - Now We Can See

The Curious Mystery's K Records debut. I have been chomping at the bit for that shit.

Canary Sing's album. Those ladies' rhyme skills consistently blow me away.

The Final Spins' album, which I know they've been working on already. Those kids don't waste time, that's for sure.

The Cave Singers.

Idle Warship. This is one of Talib Kweli's new projects, with Res and Graph Nobel. From what I've heard so far, whatever they come up with will be tighter than latex.

Hoquiam's new digs.

Blood Red Dancers I actually do not know if these dudes are working on an album, but I sincerely hope so, because I cannot get enough of this dark, psychedelic keyboard-bass-drums bliss. Go buy their EP immediately if you do not have it.

Panda & Angel
's full-length. Hopefully they can find a happier label home this time around.
