New Beginning For the McLeod Residence

Good news to report for the multitudes mourning the untimely demise of the beloved Belltown gallery and performance space: the McLeod Residence has a new lease on life.
Veteran venue proprietor Steve Freeborn and his wife Tia (OK Hotel, the Rendezvous) are partnering with original McLeod Residence founder Buster McLeod to re-open the 2nd Avenue building formerly housing the free thinking, yet elegant gallery and performance space. McLeod garnered a loyal following during it's brief, two-year existence for hosting progressive visual art exhibits, live music and DJs. McLeod closed late last fall.
Freeborn has no interest in messing with the original vision. "[Buster] is still totally involved; I wouldn't do it without [him], actually," says Freeborn. "We really like what they were doing there." Pending construction negotiations with the landlord, Freeborn hopes to have McLeod up and running by May.
