Reprogramming Classic Rock Radio, Part One
Don't tell my other employer, but I when I do listen to the radio in my car, it's usually the classic rock stations. There's something about driving and listening to the familiar that makes me feel calmer and safer (despite a deep and abiding love of muscle cars, I hate driving). However, as any construction worker (or our own Krist Noveselic) will tell you, the lack of deep cuts on these stations is maddening. With this in mind, I offer up my suggested playlist revisions. Naturally, making these suggestions is about as fruitful asking Robert Plan to rejoin Led Zeppelin, but satisfying to contemplate nonetheless:
Thin Lizzy: This is one of the best hard rock bands that ever walked the planet, and if you disagree, I will arm wrestle you to the ground and beat you senseless. They also have so many songs better than "The Boys Are Back In Town" and "Jailbreak", it's sick. How about giving "Got to Give It Up" a little airtime? All hail Phil Lynott:
