Jay-Z Officially Leaves Def Jam??

From the sound of this report, it's really official. Elliot Wilson's website, Rap Radar, first reported this afternoon that Jay-Z has parted ways from Def Jam. A secondary report from MTV and the New York Times also confirmed it.

Word is, when Jay-Z signed his $150 million dollar 360 deal with Live Nation last year, he was teetering on leaving Def Jam as a whole... but held on for a few months even after stepping down as president of the company. Now he's stepping away from Def Jam completely. You can read even more about it by checking out this site.
