More Bands Added to Bumbershoot Line-up, with a Sad Subtraction

use93.jpg
Dammit! Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan canceled their Bumbershoot appearance. But in happier news, here are some of the better recently-announced additions to the festival line-up:

Akron/Family, Vivian Girls, The Devil Makes Three, Elvis Perkins in Dearland, Maximo Park, Mirah, Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears, 3 Inches of Blood, Otep, U.S.E. (pictured)

Despite the whole bubblegum pop theme that seems to be emerging— which they've clinched by adding Jason Mraz to the line-up— this is still shaping up to look like a pretty fun festival, so long's you avoid the main stage. There's also a limited-time insider deal on single-day tickets. If you go to the Bumbershoot website and sign up to become a Bumbershoot "insider," which is free, you can get single day tickets for $25 apiece. Not too shabby.
