Let's say for some reason you are not at Sasquatch, and not at Folklife, and not at the Melvins, but instead find yourself in the vicinity of downtown Bellevue this Saturday and in the mood for some good music. Well, you're in luck! The Bellevue Jazz Festival is up. And Saturday night brings headliners the Mingus Big Band, a much-beloved New York institution made up of a rotating cast of Mingus-legacy lovers. The show, at Bellevue's Meydenbauer Center, will feature some of the band's most illustrious participants, including trombonist Frank Lacy (above), trumpeter Lew Soloff, and pianist David Kikoski. (Tix are $25-$75.) If you're up for music earlier in the day, the brilliant pianist Danilo Perez will also be at Meydenbauer with his trio at 2.
