The Raggedy Anns: Cheerful Jangle Pop

l_953a629c16ee4b7c8c48d4486a7c860b.jpg
My favorite new jangle pop band out of Seattle, The Raggedy Anns has been getting some airplay on KEXP and is putting the finishing touches on their new dancy album due out July 9. The boys draw from old time gypsy jazz influences like Django Reinhardt but carry themselves with a sweeping feeling reminiscent of The Kinks. Plus the lead singer is a British import, and what American girl doesn't love that?

Check them out at the Triple Door Musicquariam FOR FREE on Friday, July 3 at 9 p.m.You'll be humming "Prospector Joe" for the rest of the night (or week in my case).
