Rodriguez on the Streets of Paris

rodriguez2.jpg
Mere moments ago, just as I finished up a phone interview with Rodriguez, Light in the Attic owner Matt Sullivan (and Rodriguez's tour manager for his forthcoming west coast tour) sent out an email with links to video of the underground legend playing acoustically in the streets of Paris. I couldn't figure out how to embed the video, so you'll want to pop over here and here to check them out. There truly is no live performance coming up that I'm more excited about than his show at the Triple Door later this month, and that electric sense of anticipation was validated by Sullivan's words about seeing Rodriguez in Europe last week:

"I just got back from last Saturday's show at the Barbican in London and it was truly one of the best trips of my life. Rodriguez sounded incredible and the crowd reception was out of this world. Working with Rodriguez has been an absolute honor and dream come true. I can't think of anything else I'd rather be doing with my life."
