Global Shakedown: Dehli 2 Dublin are Blowing Minds

Is it too early to get excited for Bumbershoot? Maybe. Capitol Hill Block Party hasn't even gotten here yet, but then again, Block Party is such a cooler than thou neighborhood festival, those who aren't in the know probably need something else to look forward to when it comes to large music events. If that's the case, then yeah, let's take a brief glance at one of the group's that I'm personally excited to see play Bumbershoot: Dehli 2 Dublin.

This group out of Vancouver, BC take a mixture of Indian ragas, bhangra, and bollywood jams and mashes it up with Celtic grooves straight out of Ireland. I know mash-ups were all the rave a few years ago, and to a certain extent still are, but nobody is smashing up grooves like this. Think of it as Belfast Bhangra or Celtic Calcutta. Exactly.
