Happy Monday: 24 Free MP3s From the New NPR.org
There's a lot of talk swirling around about NPR's revamped online presence at NPR.org. I wasn't a regular before this morning, but if we're going to be seeing generosity like this with any regularity, y'all have got me hooked. In honor of Newport's folk and jazz festivals, they're giving away 12-song samplers of each. The folk sampler includes local strummers Fleet Foxes (yes, local NPR, they're not from Oregon), as well as Pete Seeger, Iron & Wine, and The Avett Brothers. On the jazz side, there are tracks from Christian McBride, Dave Brubeck, and The Bad Plus, among others. Not a bad way to start, kids. Please let me know when that iPhone app is ready.
