Tonight in Reggae: Etana at Columbia City Theater and DJ Soul One at War Room

Jamaican songstress Etana is playing a rare Seattle performance tonight at the Columbia City Theater. If you've never heard of her before, she's got an amazing spirit and a strong voice that she uses to lift up the world's underprivileged with her songs. She spent a good amount of her growing up years in South Florida, but now she's based in Jamaica where her singles are taking over the charts. As far as female reggae singers go, she's at the top so catching tonight's show is highly recommended if you like more of a roots vibe with your island music.

If you're going to be on the Hill, DJ Soul One will be spinning dancehall at War Room like always and that's a night that definitely deserves more attention. Soul One has been holding down the dancehall scene for years. Considering this party doesn't really get going until 11:30 or midnight, you can easily catch both of these shows and satisfy all of your reggae cravings in one evening.
