The art rock trio stormed through a madcap set that provided a much needed energy boost on a mainstage that has offered only lackluster performances since opening yesterday afternoon. Karen O is a riveting frontwoman who possesses the kookiness of Bjork and the brashness of Chrissie Hynde. Dressed in an unflattering tunic, she still oozed sex appeal as she screamed and sighed through synth-drenched dance gems, at one point shoving a neon pink microphone halfway down her throat to utter guttural nonsense that sounded well, pretty damn hot.
