This Week's Music Section: Blood Red Dancers, KISS, Kenny G, and Friday Mile's Almost Breakup Album

Renee McMahon
Raphael Saadiq's show has been move from Showbox SoDo to Showbox at the Market on Monday, November 16.

It's a new week, and a new batch a stories on that other part of our site where we put our print articles. Here's what we've got for you this time around:

Red, Red Fine: Sara Brickner sits down with Seattle's Blood Red Dancers and enters the band's inner circle: "Yeah, that's the Blood Red Dancers' idea of a fun night: Us sitting around in the dark in Kevin's apartment drinking and watching this horrible movie of all these sea turtles dying from radiation on this Bikini Island."

Q&A: Kenny G: "The term is smooth jazz. Do I label myself as a smooth jazz musician? Of course not. I'm a sax player that's trying to become a better sax player.

KISS Off: Hannah Levin expounds upon why she a metalhead like herself has no interest in KISS. Drew Church drives the point home: "So many bands of that era were so much better. KISS was the 'N Sync of metal."

He Said, She Said: Friday Mile opens up to Paige Richmond about fights, solo records, and why "A good song is always a good song, not matter what sort of jacket you put on it."

Rocket Queen: Levin goes long on "instru-metal" acts, and explains that Chicago's Russian Circles has released one of the best records of the genre this year.
