Neil Young, - Fork In The Road: Neil offers up a musical mix of politics and a passion for automobiles. The commentary is put into perspective because, like the song says, "Just Singing A Song" - won't save the world. Then there's cars and the economy with "Johnny Magic", a tune that's reminiscent of the blockbuster album Rust Never Sleeps.

I like politics and I'm into cars too. I tinker on no less than three air cooled VW sedans. I have a '65, '68 and my nephew and I are putting together a Baja Bug - '67 on a '64 chassis. I crank 40 years of Neil in the old garage! Fork In The Road is a double CD / DVD. We put it in the DVD player in the shop and enjoy high resolution sound without getting greasy fingerprints on vinyl records.

Boy, I'm hooked on these blogs. Bush was <b>BU</b>ll<b>SH</b>it! About the "Angie Issue": I don't want to put too much of my opinion into this but she did use plenty of effort into those comments; look at the words. It shows time and dedication (articles in links and personal happenings.) Just give her a break. However, Davey and Rob had taken it too far with a comparison to a well respected musician.
Most true/real "small C" conservatives would NEVER have supported something like the patriot act or "no child gets an education"(no child left behind) It does not surprise me that B. Obama would though. Remember that G.W Bush was anything but conservative. He was a sold out capital R Republican!! And no I am not a Tea Partier. Half these blithering fools dont know the slightest bit about the constitution. GO Krist! Go!!

I have to give a shout out to Southern musicians. Neil Young pissed a few people off with "Southern Man" We are a bunch of snobs in the north, but I still love ya Neil.Neil sounds great when you are cruisin the north cascade Highway, like on a nice crisp fall day.

@Rob Singh Angie isn't just playing the devil's advocate, she attacks people quite often with really poorly thought out, aggressive, sometimes offensive comments that more than anything, are seriously annoying to read day after day. You reap what you sow. We don't hate Angie, we just wish she'd bugger off... Oh! The humanity! Defending her by even bringing up and comparing her to Kurt Cobain doesn't make you her compassionate advocate, it makes YOU an asshole! You bring up a gun? To Krist? How about HIS feelings, huh? Plus, that same dismissiveness sounded exactly like what she was doing to Pisces Indecisive. My advice is for everyone to get over it and smoke a peace pipe or something. As far as we know, you ARE Angie Starr... Can we get back to Neil Young, please?
Sheesh - Let's not get all touchy. All I asked if someone had moved into the comments section. I'm so mean to Angie!!! A few months ago she posted comments that got repeated or somehow messed up due to a technology issue. So big meanie Krist went into the program and fixed them. I even sent Angie an e-mail telling her no worries about this. There's all kinds for free blogs available to people where they can post their hearts out. Angie you're living all over me baby! Angie, Ahngeaa!!- where does it lead us from here?
Oh no, I know you guys didn't just do this. I've been a following reader on this blog for quite some time, but I never had the guts to post a comment until now. Krist, I've been a big fan of yours and of your fans. Now, I've lost my respect for you guys. How could all of you be so hypocritical? Calling someone a cyberbully while cyberbullying them yourselves. Honestly, Angie Starr was a real spark added to this blog's comments. We needed this 'devil's advocate'. She gave us a good punch in the guts which caused us to think and to defend our beliefs. Look at all of the interaction among you commentators; nothing was boring. Most comments posted are "I love Krist", "I love your music", and "you should run for office", which are annoying as fuck when repeated as a routine. I got excited and was actually waiting for her comments to be posted on Krist's new entries. I'm not saying that I agree with what she comments (most often I completely disagree) but its good to hear from another point of view, that way nothing here is biased. It was cruel to judge her last few comments because that was a personal story. Let's pretend and put Krist into where her shoes were in that comment. How could Krist feel if he was waiting hours for his finger to be reattached in a hospital while someone else with a minor problem and who shouldn't be there in the first place is getting treated before Krist? How would his music be affected- a bassist missing a finger. Angie mentioned that she's a musician herself, so this would be a perfect example. What's creepy is that she sort of reminds me of Cobain. Her comments have an edge to them, and she's got some quirky personality. This is what concerns me the most- her "farewell" comment. Who knows what went through her head as you all ganged up on her. What if she made a stupid decision and bit the gun? You all should be feeling guilty as hell if a news story jumps out with her name on it. She's got a brave heart to share opposing views in comments, but she's also a regular person. I wouldn't be surprised if she shared the similar quiet side as Kurt did. Who the hell knows, she might've had insane problems with familyand friends or something and came to this blog looking for some attention. Maybe this blog was that "easy friend" with "an ear to lend" that she was hopiing to find. I pray that she didn't do anything selfdestructing. Now I understand why many people are busy pill popping and turning to alcohol- they get no respect from anyone and all they hear are harsh criticisms. I'm sorry Angie, honey. This sorry that I'm saying is for all of you asshole commentors that had caused her to leave us (or even leave life itself). If any of you have the guts to appologize also, post one in a comment after this one. At least one other person should. You all should feel guilty as fuck because this wasn't right. I'm a proud practicing Muslim, but I have the courage to say- God bless you Angie. Please come back, bc we need you hear to keep us motivated in our views/beliefs. I hope that she'll come back and at least read this.
I'm a huge Neil Young fan! I always respect and listen to the words of the old man. Great post! Krist should write his own "Fork In The Road" or "Greendale" opus for Washington State! He could even incorporate his love and knowledge of cars with new environmental and political themes. That would rock and probably turn a lot of people on! Just a random thought... don't hurt me, people! @Pisces Indecisive Your comment tripped me out! Deep... I get that way this time of year, too. Inspired me to go dig out my DVD of "Dead Man".
@ Angie Starr Your a tough cookie with some real strong ( almost too much for me personally)opinions, but I don't think you should say farewell,honestly I think I would miss you, even if you are a wee bit of a pain in the ass. I think you should just watch your tone just a little bit, so that we can have as many people join us here as possible(community) and not get turned off,just because they are different then you or me.

Cyb er bulling should stay on My space, but really and truly it should not exist at all. What I would like to see happen on these columns is to create a place for all walks of life. Everyone comes from different backgrounds.Everyone uses different sections of their brain to express themselves.Some are more creative and don't care about information as much as they care about poetry. I want us to come on here, have a bit of fun showing off to these awesome musicians but also to share and learn from each other. I lack that linear sort of thinking, but enjoy learning from people who have that ability, because it is completely different and foreign to me.I'm just going to admit it I do care what people think of me and get my feelings hurt when someone gossips or says something nasty towards me and my intelligence, I also don't like watching bullies attack others either it creates the same feelings as being personally attacked.Allot of people have PTS from their school experiences of being bullied.Everyone has the right to freedom of speech but bulling is for the crows and should not happen on the weekly.

My pa and uncle had a yard full of vw's in the late sixties early seventies. They were the bad boys of Bellvue and Kirkland in the olden days, the poe poe knew them on a first name basis. They strictly acted on impulse and never thought of consiquences. So one time my grandpa had a pile of sawdust in the yard and my pa and uncle drove one of their beetle projects through that pile with the peddle to the metal.The beetle split in half.P.S.Neil young always seems a little bit crotchity.
