Metric will play a sold-out show at the Showbox SoDo on March 21.

Metric released Fantasies almost a year ago - the record debuted at #1 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart, and the quick and railing "Gold Guns Girls" was featured in Zombieland and Gossip Girl. But it's the acoustic version of that song, found on Plug In, Plug Out, the duo's October EP, that's catching my ear. Somehow the band took a hyperactive track and transformed it into something harmonic, pretty, and chilling - all things I love in a good slow song. Emily Haines' smooth vocals and the ringing piano melody make a touching combination.
