Calling cellists, violists, violinists, and string bassists of all ages and skill levels. In an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest string ensemble to play under a single room, Lake Washington School District is looking to gather 250-plus players to perform Deep Purple's classic "Smoke on the Water."

Spring Jam '10 takes place at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 10 at Juanita High School. Players must register here by Wednesday, March 31 to participate. Admission is $5-$15, depending on whether you're a student, spectator, or performer. The proceeds benefit Lake Washington School District's orchestra programs.
