Doe Bay Fest Adds Grand Archives, Fences + More to Lineup
It seems like Doe Bay Fest is pulling out all the stops to trump last year's sold out festival. Today, the festival announced the addition of six more bands to the lineup, including Grand Archives and Fences. Those two Seattle-based acts are the most impressive additions: the Maldives will also play Doe Bay this year, but the band already performed at the super-local festival in 2009. In an unexpected but smart turn, the normally folk-y event also added country band Zoe Muth & the Lost High Rollers.
Here's the current, complete lineup for Doe Bay Fest, which is planned for August 13 and 14 on Orcas Island:
Grand Archives
Fences
The Dimes
Zoe Muth & the Lost High Rollers
The Maldives
Kimo Muraki
Fruit Bats
Grand Hallway
THEESatisfaction
Portland Cello Project
Hey Marseilles
Drew Grow & the Pastors' Wives
Shenandoah Davis
It's likely the festival organizers won't add too many more acts to the roster, but the press release did say to "expect solo and side-project sets from members of these bands" at the festival. Tickets go on sale in May, and you'd better act fast--there are only 750 tickets available for Doe Bay Fest 2010.
