CoCo Rosie's "Lemonade" Video is as Creepy as Their Album Artwork. And Their Music.

Categories: Music Video

I'm gonna go ahead and admit that I haven't listened to CoCo Rosie's new one, Grey Oceans, because the album cover weirds me out too much. It's been sitting on my desk for a few weeks now, and every time I look at the girls' goatees and mustaches and big eyebrows and scary makeup and weird blue hats, I just get too creeped out to open it. (Seriously. Chris agrees with me).

This video might finally push me to listen to the record though. "Lemonade" is a dark piano ballad, and whoever directed/did the backdrops for the video did an awesome job. The haunted house, the sunlit drawing room with the Indian in the canoe - it's all very visually wow-ing. Song and clip are beautifully intricate.

(But again, they have that gross makeup and all the females have weird facial hair. What is that?)
