-- BBC: Pete Quaife, founding member and original bassist of the Kinks, has passed away. He was 66 years old.

-- NYT: Norah Jones' manager says Lilith Fair has cancelled dates in Florida, Alabama, and Texas due to poor ticket sales, although Sarah McLachlan & co. still seem to be in denial.

-- Rolling Stone: Robert Plant on his upcoming summer tour: "I'm touring without a record. In this day and age, the Eagles can't even do that."

-- sextremeball.com: Lords of Acid will kick off their summer tour, the Sextreme Ball, in Seattle at Studio 7 on July 13.
