-- Consequence of Sound: Although Seattle's own The End gets credit for being the first to stream these new Arcade Fire songs (since pulled down), the streams for "Ready to Start" and "We Used to Wait" are still rolling at Consequence of Sound.

-- NY Magazine: We're not the only ones obsessed with Damien Jurado and his new album, Saint Bartlett. New York Magazine has a nice mention of Jurado in preview of his show at the Mercury Lounge this week. Sadly, the extended, print version is hiding somewhere online.

-- Rolling Stone: I guess it was inevitable that Michael Jackson would get the karaoke/video game treatment. The game drops in time for Christmas. Still no word on an MJ Mr. Potato Head.

-- New York Times: Critic Jon Pareles: "I miss the old Dave Matthews Band."

-- NME: TV On the Radio's Dave Sitek has tapped Karen O, Holly Miranda, and a handful of other guests for his debut solo album, Maximum Balloon, due August 23.

-- Spinner: From their feature, Slash: A Day In the Life: "The only reason I quit was I finally got to a point where I was bored with everything -- bored with drinking, bored with drugs."
