The Last ISIS Show in Seattle is Tonight!

Avant-sludge masters ISIS recently announced they were splitting after 13 years together. " It's hard to try to say it in any delicate way, and it is a truth that is best spoken plainly," said the band in a recent press statement announcing the break-up. "This end isn't something that occurred over night and it hasn't been brought about by a single cataclysmic fracture in the band. Simply put, ISIS has done everything we wanted to do, said everything we wanted to say. In the interest of preserving the love we have of this band, for each other, for the music made and for all the people who have continually supported us, it is time to bring it to a close."

They play their final Seattle show at Neumos tonight (doors are at 8 p.m. and tickets are $18); I'll be at their show in Portland tomorrow at the Doug Fir. Here's some pretty decent footage of them playing the Capitol Theater in Olympia this past Sunday evening:

The last show on their farewell tour will be with Cave In at Club Soda in Montreal, Quebec on June 23.
