The National played the Sasquatch! Music Festival at the Gorge on Saturday, May 29. They're heading back this way to play Marymoor on September 11.
-- Exclaim.ca: The guys from The National are turning their mixed-media project, The Long Count, into a proper record. "We're planning on recording a record of that at the end of June" says The National's Bryce Dessner. "It's like a 70-minute show that's much more experimental-sounding."

-- Pitchfork: Matt & Kim are coming to Showbox at the Market on September 28.

-- Rolling Stone: First the ShamWow guy ... now Eminem has tapped Pauly Shore to help promote his new album, Recovery.

-- NPRMusic: They're streaming a handful of forthcoming albums, including Chemical Brothers' Further, Stars' The Five Ghosts, and Herbie Hancock's The Imagine Project.

-- Eelstheband.com: And if you just can't wait for the Eels' new record, Tomorrow Morning, to drop on August 24, the band's giving away the track "Looking Up" as a free download. The Eels are supporting their new record with an Oct. 9 show at The Moore.
