• I just cant imagine Eddie Vedder and Johhny Depp allowing Damien Echols to watch their children Olivea and Jack for a couple of days (thats not a chance I think they would have taken back in 1993).....I think the higher and deeper you climb in fame, the more favors you start oweing groups and organizations. Sucks that some of my childhood hero's are just lap dogs to the machine as much of the next politician, police man, senator or congressman.

The post made here on the 31st is the exact same misinformation spread around by gossips who have never read Echols trial transcript and aren't aware that the former jurors from echols trial and the parents of 2 of the victims now believe the 3 are innocent as do many former Arkansas Prosecutors who were around at the time of the trial and know that the tainted confession made by the mentally challenged kid who was told he could go home if he told the story they way they wanted was leaked to the jurors in the echols trial. The confession he made at first was so flawed in detail of the time of day, location, method of killing etc that the magistrate refused to issue an arrest warrant against the other two, so the detectives went back and coached him on what to say. Terry Hobbs, the step father, was seen with the boys shortly before the murders and one of his hairs was found in the ropes used to bind them. 3 women on a church parking lot saw him chasing them shortly before the murders. this came out in a defamation lawsuit he filed against natalie maines when she publicly stated he lied when he said he hadn't seen them all day, He LOST the defamtion suit based on the testimony of the 3 women.

• Echols (one of the 3) was seen in muddy clothes near the crime scene. He bragged about the murder to two other teenagers, stating he killed the three boys. This was presented as evidence at the trial. Echols also had a history of psychiatric treatment. His reported actions included brutally killing a dog, starting fires at his school, threatening to kill his teachers and parents and stating he liked to drink blood. Baldwin (another of the 3) confessed to a friend and described the crime to this friend. This evidence was presented at trial. Fibers on the murdered victims� clothing were found to microscopically similar to things in the Baldwin and Echols homes.
