She's a dead ringer for Joey Ramone, right?

For the past few years Halloween weekend has marked the annual Halloqueen show at the Tractor Tavern. The band is a Queen tribute group that features Sean Bates in the role of Freddy Mercury, Tim DiJulio as Brian May, Chris Friel serving as Roger Taylor and Rick Friel playing John Deacon. Nikol Fiala is also in the mix providing backup vocals to help with some of those hard to hit falsettos.

Keeping with the tribute band theme each year the show includes another group of locals disguised as a cleverly named cover band. This year's openers are The Rawbones, which is Star Anna and the Laughing Dogs performing a one-off set of Ramones covers.

The band shared the backstory of the Rabones and the news of the show in an email newsletter which reads as follows:

"Seattle's best and shortest lived Ramones tribute band, the Rawbones, are playing their first and last show ever this October 30 at the Tractor Tavern. The Rawbones began life on a night of beer and exuberant (read: LOUD) conversation between Star Anna and Justin Davis about how badly they missed just throwing down and playing punk shows. The idea of paying tribute to one of the greatest and most influential bands of all time came up and the wheels began to spin! We would do a whole night of Ramones music! Hooray!

This was almost two years ago...

The band has been busy, very busy, over those past two years. But the passion for doing a Ramones night never diminished. And, as luck would have it, when Seattle guitar legend Rock Tim DiJulio mentioned that the upcoming Hallowqueen show needed an opening act, Star was there to say "how about a Ramones tribute band!" And here we are!

For 45 minutes on October 30, the RAWBONES will remind everyone at the Tractor Tavern that the Ramones were the best band since the Beatles, and then we'll all get up and dance to Hallowqueen! It's gonna be a hell of a party! See ya there!"

Forty-five minutes of Ramones covers? That's plenty enough time for Star Anna and her band to plow through just about every choice cut from the Ramones' catalog.

Tickets cost $10 in advance or $12 at the door.
