Air 2 A Bird Stays the Course of Crow Hill and Goes Lo-Fi with Visuals for "Let's Ride"

The Crow Hill project came together of unfortunate circumstances, but stands as proof of sliver linings: after being denied entry to London's Heathrow Airport and forced to cancel his three-month overseas tour, Seattle rapper Gabriel Teodros found himself in a New York City recording studio with Lovework collaborator Amos Miller. The result was a 12-track album under moniker Air 2 A Bird, and true to theme each track incorporates real birdsong. The entire thing was recorded in Apple's GarageBand, and its debut music video--shot by Andria Millie and Lucien Pelligren--doesn't stray from the sentiment.

Incorporating a hefty dose of desaturation and single-color isolation, dusty lenses, rewinds and '90s-esque chalk overlays, the visuals to accompany "Let's Ride" are equally raw. The literal ride is a surprisingly cerebral pairing for the the relaxingly harmonized chorus: "Let's ride / Hittin' corners lost 'til we realize / It's not us who's really driving / Take flight / Past the skies, it's a journey inside / I surrender to it."
