Today Reverb Recommends You Listen to Central Sounds on Hollow Earth Radio

Former Seattle Weekly music editor Jonathan Cunningham, an undisputed arbiter of good taste, and Rich Jensen, the former Sup Pop general manager who was with the label when the reeled in the likes of Nirvana, have joined forces for a new(ish) radio show on Seattle's free internet radio station, Hollow Earth, called Central Sounds. The pair, spinning as DJ Wordlush and DJ Freebop, respectively, play music with ties to Seattle's Central District neighborhood every Wednesday night from 9 to 11 p.m.

Central District sounds could just as easily mean Jimi Hendrix as Thee Satisfaction, and Cunningham and Jensen have been spinning everything from current neighborhood hip hop artists like Gabriel Teodros to Wheedle's Groove alumnus Overton Berry.

Tonight's guest is 17-year-old R&B singer Jus Moni, who releases her debut EP, Ready For Life, at Chop Suey on Dec. 22. Moni has kept a low internet profile, and we have yet to hear the entire EP. But the show will undoubtedly be worth tuning in for if only to hear Cunningham's life-affirming belly laugh.
