• Hey Duff: Happy your going to start doing your spots column. Also happy the Seahawks made it to the playoffs. I really hope they can pull off beating the dinged up Saints. Because, I'm hoping if they do and the Eagles can beat the Packers. The Seahawks can come down South to Atlanta and try my Falcons again. :) We're really hoping the Seahawks win. • Hi Jackie ... I wish I could explain! Even though I grew up in house of NFL and college football lovers, I came to love soccer more than American football myself. Perhaps it's because, growing up, I was big into playing sports myself and back when I was a kid, girls were not allowed to play football ... so I was relegated to soccer, which I quickly realized I was quite good at (compared to those around me) and I came to love the game. I spent time in Europe in college and went to my first professional games and was hooked! Though I have to admit, as far as sporting events go, the Americans definitely have a lot more going on (other than just the games being played) and it is very entertaining! Maybe they have picked this in other countries now as well, as it has been several years since I have been to sporting event overseas. But don't get me wrong, I still follow the NFL here to keep up with it ... I find that bantering back and forth with fans of other teams is half the fun of following sports! Hope your 2011 is off to an amazing start! Love reading your comments here!

Prose to the point, revolutions can be launched everywhere, the horrific of medieval and its punishments, 12 of the most insane , poets or the explicit books of illicit details by those of tittle and acclaim, daring robberies, big tops and pioneers, disaster's , in piecing the past like a puzzle together, politically , incorrect, or correct, depends on , the company of individuals at large, or the flavour of the moments in movement....in the flux of flow.....Wicked Idea, trading , resources....! BTW being large market doesn't always mean getting/buying what you want ... just look at this off season for that large market baseball team everyone loves to hate ... but we'll discuss that more when you write that column. • Actually (much to the surprise of some people in my life...especially my husband), I am a fan of sports. Mostly baseball and basketball, with a small foray into hockey, because I grew up in the snowy white North. I'll take rugby over football any day of the week. I love the New Zealand All Black's...that Maori haka gets my blood going ever time! My only gripe about ESPN is that the commentators won't shut up before, during, or after the game. I know it's their job but it just drives me nuts.

• Cool! I hope it blooms into a fun little community! Full of men terroising eachother for their choices in teams and favorite players! Well lets see I lived in Warren Moon's old house as a little girl and my brother in Law's pop played for St.Louis for 6 years when they where the Cardinals and that is about the exstent of my sports knowlege! But I will probably go sneak a peak on occasion.

• Duff, I'm not too surprised. Even before you branched out from music, you showed great ecclecticism with your expressions of musical appreciation. I have no doubt that some of your interviews from your GNR days shaped how I listened to music, and this mindset is what makes you a great read. Sure, I'm a Seahawks fan, but other than the Hawks and any meaningful games, I could care less about football. I can't wait to read what you have to say about the Mariners rebuild. As a fan of not only the Mariners, but baseball in general, I have to say that the best analysis you can get on the Mariners upcoming season should include some trips to see their minor league teams. Much like touring in a band, it's a great excuse to go to places you would otherwise have no reason/desire to go, only you might have some free time to check the places out.
