Jeff Bridges Is Playing Chateau Ste. Michelle This Summer. The Dude Abides.

Nothing brightens up a shit-dark, rainy, dreary Monday morning when you're fighting a miserable cold like this kind of news: Chateau Ste. Michelle announced its summer concert series lineup today, and there on Sunday, August 28, is Academy Award-winning actor, stoner icon, and recently minted country singer Jeff Bridges.

The press release says he'll be performing songs from Crazy Heart; I imagine we'll also be hearing songs from his forthcoming solo album, another collaboration with Ryan Bingham and T-Bone Burnett. Chateau Ste. Michelle isn't the Tractor Tavern, but for a summer concert, it's actually an even better venue for Bridges--imagine a (hopefully) sunny afternoon kicking back on a blanket with a couple Caucasians bottles of wine. Sounds heavenly to me.

Jeff Bridges & His Band are playing the Chateau on Sunday, August 28. The show's at 7 p.m.; tickets are $37.50 for general admission and $75 reserved.
