10 Things I Learned About The Young Evils, Sharon Jones, and Enjoying the Decemberists, Monday at Sasquatch!

1. Sharon Jones worked harder than any other performer at the festival, and did not stop shaking or dancing throughout her entire set.
2. Head Like a Kite continued the weekend's tradition of well-placed covers, throwing down CSNY's "Ohio."
3. Medicated foot powder is not just for your feet.
4. The Young Evils are great.
5. Yes, on day four it's getting harder to think of fresh platitudes.
6. Sasquatch! slept in on Monday.
7. Most attendees missed the Old '97's play the same song for 45 minutes.
8. Sasquatch! 2010 was defined by grand moments of audience interaction and engagement during sets from LCD Soundsystem, Vampire Weekend, and MGMT. But there were no comparable moments at this year's fest until technical difficulties temporarily derailed the Decemberists' set, and guitarist Chris Funk lead the crowd in a full-throated sing-along of The Outfield's "Your Love." It was one of a handful of moments that made the Decemberists' set--punctuated by the precision of backup singer/violinist Sara Watkins, formerly of Nickel Creek--that made it, more than palatable, one of the most blissfully enjoyable sets of the weekend. And that's coming from someone who's never considered the band to be either blissful or enjoyable.

9. The show was Decemberists keyboardist/accordionist Jenny Colnee's last with the band before she takes time off to receive treatment for breast cancer. Best of luck, Jenny.
10. Rodrigo y Gabriela's inclusion on the bill was superfluous. I can't be the only one who would have gladly cashed the guitar duo in for an earlier set from Wilco, whose closing set was performed for a sadly skeletal audience.
