Seattle: a Great Place for Music, a Killer Town for Poster Art (Sasquatch! Exhibit Tonight!)
We're spoiled in this city, not just with an abundance of great bands, labels, clubs, and record labels, but with a host of illustrators (from Patent Pending to Brad Klausen) and institutions with soft spots for high-quality poster art. Bumbershoot's Flatstock is an annual highlight, Sub Pop regularly churns out innovative album art (see the poster inside Fleet Foxes' Helplessness Blues, Tooth & Nail's artistic Grammy nods, etc.), and every year Sasquatch! commissions a poster for every one of the bands playing the annual festival.

Tonight, Sasquatch! is hosing an exhibition and gala at Vermilion (1508 11th Ave, Capitol Hill) to show off the art (a few more samples after the jump). Things get started at 6 and run 'til 9. See you there.
