Black Milk and Jack White Made Two Songs Together?! No Way!

Way. And here they are, streaming on Black Milk's blog BlackMilk.biz, along with a little backstory and overly appreciative ramblings from Milk. The collaboration apparently came about when the former White Stripes frontman/current Dead Weather operative contacted the Detroit rapper/producer through his manager after he had seen Milk's "Deadly Medly" video, and invited him to his Nashville home studio for a three-day recording and jam session. Milk took the trip along with his band, and laid down two complete tracks in three days. On his blog, the clearly starstruck Milk was able to reflect upon his experience:

"The time we spent in Nashville collaborating with Jack White was one of the greatest moments in my music career. It not only inspired me to continue to work hard as a producer, but also confirmed that staying true to my art, without compromise, can manifest into the type of rewards that money can't buy."

The A-side, "Brian," features White on guitar (which really isn't evident until late in the song), and the two pull together the horn-heavy production while Milk spits a smooth verse. White plays drums on the B-side "Royal Mega," and the song is better for it. His crashing cymbal style works pretty well in the mix with the rest of the live band.
