Capitol Hill Block Party is upon us this weekend; in anticipation of the big event, I decided to ask some of my favorite local musicians playing the fest a few important questions. On Monday Casey Catherwood gave us details on Witch Gardens' set; yesterday we checked in with Justin Deary of The Rolling Stones; today we've got Chris Cunningham talking about Ravenna Woods' performance.

If you could have any celebrity be in your audience, who would it be and why?
Woo! That's a doozy . . . Definitely a toss up between Air Bud, and the good doctor Hunter S. Thompson (you never specified dead or alive). Both for the same reason: hilarious Disney-esque antics are guaranteed to ensue.
If you look into the audience while you're playing and see Eric Grandy shake his head in disgust and walk away, what will you do?
I'll stop playing and call out "WAIT! WAIT! OK . . . that's the end of our joke set; now for some REEEEAAAAALLLL tunes!" Then fly into some improv. Rinse and repeat 'til we hit something that turns that frown inside out! Wait a second . . . that'd still be a frown.
What's the one other set you're most excited to see?
Gonna have to be a toss-up between the Ononos and Handsome Furs. Although the latter's set time runs into ours; damn!
Who would you rather run into in the beer garden, Thurston Moore or Bethany Cosentino? Why?
Ha! hahahahaha! Oh, wait--you're serious; sorry. Thurston Moore. Because . . . Well, just think about it.
