Look appealing?
Summer is the time for music festivals. There's nothing better than bands, beer, and sun (which we're finally starting to see). But in recent years, festivals have become so popular that there are often conflicting fests on the same weekend. Say Yes to the Fest is here to help you decide which to attend.

This week, answer these 10 questions to find out which mystery fest to attend.

1. You hate the word a) hipster b) folkie

2. You usually wear a) thrift-store T-shirt b) flannel

3. Your favorite breakfast is a) four slices of cold pizza from the fridge b) oatmeal (NOT the instant kind) or homemade granola

4. Your tattoo is of a) the Rainier beer "R," b) an owl

5. Your favorite Damien Jurado song is a) you only listen to Neil Young b) "Ohio"

6. On the weekends, you can often be found sleeping a) passed out on a stranger's floor in Capitol Hill b) in a tent while camping

7. The year's best album is a) the split 7-inch with King Tuff and Hex b) Alela Diane & Wild Divine

8. The word "green" makes you feel a) irritated and a little guilty b) secure in the knowledge you're living your life to minimize harm to the environment

9. You last went hiking a) you've never been hiking b) within the past six months

10. The other festival you'll be attending this summer is a) Cairo's free Vibrations concert in Volunteer Park b) Doe Bay

And now for the results. Drum roll, please:

If you answered mostly "a," congratulations, you're going to Pizzafest! Held over three days (Aug. 4-6) at the Funhouse, Pizzafest takes its devotion to the pie seriously. In addition to performances by bands such as the aforementioned King Tuff, Shannon and the Clams, The Audacity, and many local acts including Witch Gardens and Coconut Coolouts, there's a pizza-eating contest on Saturday. There's also a band playing called Personal and the Pizzas. What could be more perfect?

If you answered mostly "b," congratulations, you're headed to Pickathon! Pickathon, a venerable festival in its 13th year, is held on Pendarvis Farm, just outside of Portland. It's a real farm, with "lush meadow and forested campgrounds with hiking" and "audience views of Mt. Hood." This year, artists playing include Mavis Staples, Califone, Wye Oak, Damien Jurado, the Fruit Bats, the Builders and the Butchers, and many more--nearly 50 artists will perform at the three-day festival, which runs Aug. 5-7. Pickathon is committed to being a green festival, with no disposable dinnerware or bottled water, alternative transportation plans, renewable energy use, and a variety of other green initiatives. Find out more about Pickathon here, and get ready to head to Oregon!
