If You're Not All Bumbershatted Out, Mini Mansions & Eleanor Friedberger Are Playing a Free Show at Chop Suey Tonight
Yup, free. (Probably to coerce worn-out festivalgoers.) If you're too tired, I don't blame you. But I still recommend this show--Mini Mansions are Queens of the Stone Age-approved, and their debut album was a favorite of mine last year. And Eleanor Friedberger of the Fiery Furnaces--who appeared at Capitol Hill Block Party earlier this summer--is apparently just a Seattle-loving generous lady--she'll also be doing a free in-store at Sonic Boom in Ballard tonight at 6 p.m.
The Chop Suey show starts at 8 p.m.
P.S. Don't watch the video above if you're afraid of dolls. Do watch it if you want to see a band of stuffed animals playing "Monk."
**UPDATE: Chop Suey's just announced, via Twitter, that Friedberger has cancelled out of tonight's show. Mini Mansions is still playing, still free.
