There's gonna be some hot blonde on ginger action on TBS come October 26th

In August I mentioned that I thought Allen Stone's self-titled sophomore offering was a bit underwhelming for the talent he possesses, but that didn't stop a whole ton of other people from buying his album (surprised?!). The Seattle by-way-of Chewelah, WA, artist found his album at #2 on the iTunes R&B/soul chart after its national release last week, and is now hovering at #5--but you have to wonder how many of those post-first listens simply begin and end with the album's last song. (Place hate-filled, loosely related answer in the comment section.) As Sound On The Sound reported yesterday, that now-famous last song ("Unaware") will conveniently be Stone's first on prime time television, when he plays Conan October 26.

With the appearance, Stone will join Seattle's Fleet Foxes (Letterman), Pearl Jam, Death Cab For Cutie and Portland's The Shins (all Fallon) as Northwest bands that have played major late-night talk shows lately. Prediction: The performance will be a smash hit (he is a good performer after all), and the song will earn many-a-play on commercial outlets. How it affects the listenability of his next album, though, remains to be seen.

Allen Stone also plays the Triple Door October 22 as part of the Heineken City Arts Fest.
