Seattle Kids Are NOT Afraid to Mix Their Liquors, PopChips Are Delicious, and Drunken Musing on Reverb and the Seattle Scene...

Genesee Beer was one of the many fine sponsors of this year's Reverb Fest.
As you may have guessed, we here at SW all enjoyed Saturday Night's Reverb festival. But some Reverb attendees really, really "enjoyed" Reverb Fest 2011. Around midnight I found these fine kids grubbing down on (Reverb Fest sponsor) PopChips at light speed outside the Tractor and attempted to ask them the Reverb questionnaire we asked of the bands in this months' Reverb Monthly:

Tell me your names, what you've been drinking and the best band you've seen so far:

"I'm Jenny and I've been drinking tequila, PBR, Rainier. Best band tonight? Curtains for You."

"I'm Shinequa and I've been drinking vodka, vodka, and more vodka and I agree with Jenny: Curtains for You, YEAHHHHH, Curtains for You!"

"I'm Brian and tonight I've liked tequila, whiskey, Genesee, PBR, Manny's . . . everything. My best, favorite band is Spurm!"

How long have you guys been here?:
Shinequa: "All day, alll day long . . . "
Jenny: "Since like 3 p.m.???"

Do you mind if I ask you some of the questions we asked on the bands in this month's issue of Reverb Monthly, on stands now and through the month of October?

Jenny: "Shooooooot!"

What do you think the legacy of the 1991 grunge explosion is for the Seattle scene?

Jenny: "I don't know . . . flannel?"
Shinequa: "Dirtiness . . .not showering."
Brian (wearing flannel): "Nothing!"
Shinequa: "Ohh, mmmm, can I, like, add 'recycling' to my answer? . . . "

What were you doing on October 8, 1991?

Jenny: "In 1991, I was, like . . . 6?"
Shinequa: "Yeah, I was in kindergarten."
Brian: "Well, I'm pretty sure I just learned to masturbate . . . so I was doing that a lot."

What is the impact of grunge on the current scene?

Jenny: "It's about having a good time, right? I just wished people danced more . . . People just still stand there and nod their heads . . . "

Just like in 1991?

Jenny: "YEAH?!"
Brian: "Why do they do that? Why do people just stand there? It makes me feel kinda bad for the bands . . . "

How are you enjoying those PopChips?

Jenny: "Oh, my God! They are good!"
Shinequa: "Delicious, ohhh, they are soooo, sooooo good!"
