The Black Keys Want to Sell You El Camino, But Would Be Happy if You Just Bought Their Crappy Old Van
Akron blues-rock juggernauts The Black Keys have announced a December 6 release for their seventh studio album El Camino, which they've teased with a Bob Odenkirk-featured car ad (above), and an album-promo website that even points to a phone number contact ((330) 510-1206) for parties interested in "the van." (The voice message, voiced by drummer Pat Carney, is worth the minute off your family plan). They've also released the track list (after the jump [courtesy of Pitchfork]).
Right off the bat, I'm curious about "Lonely Boy" and "Money Maker" (aren't you?); "Dead and Gone" and "Run Right Back" sound like classic TBK burners; and one wonders how "Mind Eraser" stacks up to the Them Crooked Vultures song (or the drink!).
El Camino:
01 Lonely Boy
02 Dead and Gone
03 Gold on the Ceiling
04 Little Black Submarines
05 Money Maker
06 Run Right Back
07 Sister
08 Hell of a Season
09 Stop Stop
10 Nova Baby
11 Mind Eraser
