Today Reverb Recommends Checking Out Thee Oh Sees at The Croc

THEE OH SEES PRESS.jpg

San Francisco's Thee Oh Sees are a garage-rock band led by John Dwyer, a prolific songwriter who has also been in groups like Pink and Brown, the Coachwhips, and the Hospitals. Thee Oh Sees' most recent album, Carrion Crawler/The Dream, is also its second full-length of 2011. It's hardly a formulaic garage or punk record, veering from the post-punk of sprawling, near-seven-minutes-long track "The Dream" to the more genteel surf-pop of the title track. It's reasonable to think that it will translate well live (if you want more concrete proof, check after the jump for a video), and opening tonight's show at the Crocodile will be locals Grave Babies, who recently sat down with Erin Thompson for Through @ 2.

Tickets for the 8 p.m. show cost $10.
