Today Reverb Recommends Watching Fleet Foxes Perform on Austin City Limits
Did anyone catch this tweet from Robin Pecknold over the weekend? "No shows booked, no record deal. This is scary and incredibly exciting." The band just finished up the final tour dates for Helplessness Blues, and with drummer J. Tillman's announced departure from the band and Christian Wargo and Casey Wescott embarking on a new Sub Pop project with Poor Moon, it's safe to wonder, what happens next? Time off? A new record deal? A breakup? A new project from Pecknold? All seem like possibilities at the moment. ![]()

But before we wander too far down the speculation rabbit hole, let's take some time to appreciate the band that unleashed the tidal wave of folk-rock on our unsuspecting city by watching their performance for Austin City Limits, filmed back in October at the Moody Theater. The five songs played are a mix of old and new, and include "Sim Sala Bim," "Your Protector," and "Helplessness Blues." Watch in full after the jump.
