It's a busy week for me and Josh Kerns, my co-host (and, let it be known, the executive producer/creator/editor/show-runner) on KIRO 97.3's Seattle Sounds. First off, our show will be airing tonight at 9 p.m. in addition to our usual 3 p.m. Sunday slot. We've also got a great show on our hands, if I do say so myself.

West Seattle country gentleman Brent Amaker joined us to talk about his band, the Rodeo, as well as what's up with Seattle's country scene, and the larger country-influenced crop of bands.

And we also got Andrew W.K. to give us a call in preview of his show Sunday night at Showbox at the Market where he'll perform his debut, I Get Wet, in its entirety. As teased here earlier this week, the man was kind enough to sing "It's Time to Party" for us over the phone.

If you can't catch either of those shows, you can check out the podcast after the fact at MyNorthwest.com.
