What To Do During the Writers' Strike Vol. 1: Read Books

That's right. Not all writers have gone on strike.
In the absence of many of the programming that occupies our hours between sleep and work, it might be time to start picking up the old paperbacks. Personally, Erik Larson's The Devil in the White City has been kicking around my backpack for months, and I'd like to get to his latest, Thunderstruck.
Other Suggestions, courtesy of NY Times' Best Seller list for mass-maret fiction:
1. CROSS, by James Patterson
2. THE GIFT, by Nora Roberts
3. GONE BABY GONE, by Dennis Lehane
4. THE MARRIAGE GAME, by Fern Michaels
5. WICKED, by Gregory Maguire
