Gregory Blackstock: Opening Reception Tonight

Local artist Gregory Blackstock will impersonate any Beatle you want him to. One of the last times I stopped into the Garde Rail Gallery, he was visiting owner Karen Light-Pina, and launched into spot-on recitations of John, Paul, George, and Ringo that were culled from memories of seeing them on T.V. decades ago. To call him a man of many talents would be an understatement.
Blackstock's latest works (which are essentially large catalogues of various firecrackers, turnips, musical notes, and Vermont sugar maple factories) are on display this month at the Garde Rail Gallery, Seattle's only gallery folk, outsider, and self-taught art. Tonight's opening reception lasts from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
